Professional Builder Top Product of 2007
We are pleased to announce that PowerBead, our new range of second generation PVCu beads, has been chosen as a Top Product of 2007 by the readers of Professional Builder.
Amongst the hundreds of products that are featured in Professional Builder, four products are named as winners of each of the eleven categories, with PowerBead topping the list of "Paints, Plasters and Adhesives". And this is not the editors choice either, but chosen by the readers themselves through the reader enquiry service.
PowerBeads represent the next generation of beads for rendering and plastering, incorporating massive rigidity through extrusion techniques never before applied to plasterers beads. They can be fixed directly onto the substrate, even when the blockwork is uneven, without the need for adhesive mortar. The innovative box section ensures that the beads plumb straight whilst the flexible back wing takes up the contours of the wall. This is not the only clear advantage over stainless steel and galvanized beads though, as PowerBead is up to 35% faster to apply than traditional beads, as found during tests at Burnley College. Furthermore, there are additional savings as adhesive mortar does not have to be used.
